European Federalist Party to present lists in European elections in May 2019
On the occasion of Europe Day, the European Federalist Party announced that it will present lists at the next European Parliament elections.
Yves Gernigon, President of the EFP said: « The EFP will present candidates in several EU countries under the same banner and with the same programme ».
This programme aims to establish European sovereignty over five competences: diplomacy, defence, borders, currency and a budget.
By 2014, the EFP had already submitted lists in five States: France, Greece, Belgium, Italy, Austria.
In Austria, the EFP was associated with the liberal Austrian political party NEOS (Das Neue Österreich).
In Italy, he was a member of the Scelta Europa list, presented by a coalition of Italian political parties and supported by ALDE (Alliance of Liberals and Democrats for Europe).
For the Presidency of the European Commission, the European Federalist Party had supported the federalist Guy Verhofstatd.
